Worldschool Hub NORWAY
A month of nature, community, creativity, and meaningful connection for worldschooling families
Spend one month (or just a couple weeks if that's what works for your family) in southern Norway with a small circle of like-minded families.
This is not a luxury retreat.
Not a packed camp schedule.
Not another frantic summer full of logistics and pressure.
This is a grounded, beautiful, community-centered worldschool hub for families who want a slower rhythm, real connection, and a month that actually feels good.
Think forest walks, lake swims, shared meals, music, creative workshops, meaningful gatherings, and the kind of conversations that happen when families stay near each other long enough to exhale.
Base location: between Herefoss and Arendal, Norway (one hour from Kristansand)
Format: 2- or 4-week family hub
AUG 15- SEPT 12 2026
Best for: Worldschooling, homeschooling, traveling, and alternative families
Spaces: Intentionally limited
What is the Norway Worldschool Hub?
The Norway Worldschool Hub is a month-long family gathering in southern Norway built around community, nature, creativity, and simple shared rhythm.
Families come together for one month and join a light weekly structure of organized gatherings while still having plenty of freedom for their own plans, rest, work, exploration, and everyday life.
At the heart of it is something many of us are quietly craving:
-
our kids seeing the same faces again and again
-
adults having real connection, not just quick hellos
-
a place that feels grounded, inspiring, and alive
-
enough structure to feel held
-
enough spaciousness to still feel free
This hub is designed for families who want more than sightseeing
and more than just a random meetup.
It is for families who want to land somewhere beautiful and meaningful for a while.
I want this month to feel
like a deep breath.
Not rushed.
Not over-programmed.
Not “go, go, go.”
I want it to feel like children finding each other naturally. Parents relaxing into conversations that don’t have to end after 20 minutes. Families gathering around the lake, in the forest, in music, in creativity, in nature, and in shared experience.
Our base location (address will be shared with those who genuinely want to sign up) is part of what makes this so special. It is not just a practical meeting place. It has a soulful, grounded atmosphere — forest, water, gathering spaces, and a natural sense of depth to it. There is room for music, for conversation, for reflection, for play, for creative workshops, and for simply being together in a different way.
If your family has been craving a summer that feels more connected, more spacious, and more meaningful, this may be exactly that.

How the Hub Works:
This is a light-structure worldschool hub, which means families handle their own day-to-day living while joining the shared rhythm of the hub.
That means: We create the structure, rhythm, and shared experiences.
You still have freedom.
The basic rhythm (each week includes)
Typical events may include;
-
you organize your own travel
-
you choose on-site or off-site accommodation
-
you handle your own food and transport
-
you join the organized gatherings that fit your family
-
3 organized gatherings per week
-
1 of which is at our base location each week
-
a mix of connection, creativity, nature, and local outings
-
an opening gathering and a closing gathering
-
welcome gathering and family connection circle
-
lake swim and picnic days
-
music, voice, or drum-making workshops
-
resilience sessions for parents or teens
-
forest-based gatherings
-
local family outings
-
cultural or nature-based day trips
-
simple shared meals, games, music, or fireside evenings
There are many beautiful worldschool hubs out there, and I love that.
But this one has a different heartbeat.
This is not about filling every day.
It is not about performing “the perfect family travel month.”
It is not about trying to impress anyone with a packed itinerary.
This is for families who want something simple, beautiful, real, and nourishing.
This hub is different because it is built around:
Real connection
Not just passing through. A month gives children and adults time to actually form relationships.
Nature as part of the experience
Forest, lake, outdoor rhythm, calm, space, movement, breath.
A grounded, soulful atmosphere
Music, creativity, community, meaningful conversations, and room for depth without forcing anything.
A family-friendly structure
Enough organization to make it worthwhile, enough freedom to make it livable.
Affordability
Families organize their own accommodation, meals, and transportation, which keeps the hub itself much more accessible than a retreat-style model.
This hub may be a great fit if…
-
you are a worldschooling, homeschooling, or traveling family
-
you want your kids to have ongoing connection, not just one-off meetups
-
you are craving a slower, more meaningful summer rhythm
-
you love nature, creativity, and community
-
you want something more grounded and personal than a tourist itinerary
-
you are comfortable with a flexible family-centered environment
-
you like the idea of gathering with open-hearted, alternative, curious, or internationally minded families
This hub may not be the right fit if…
-
you want full-day childcare or drop-off programming
-
you want every day fully scheduled
-
you want all-inclusive accommodation and meals
-
you want a highly polished retreat with everything done for you
-
you are not comfortable with a community-led, family-responsible format
And that is totally okay.
This hub is intentionally simple and human.
